New Guinea Coordinating Committee 1968-1985.

The records consist of minutes, correspondence, financial records, and project reports. Box 1 contains agendas and minutes of the committee, correspondence, minutes, and reports of the Advisory Committee, and budgets. Boxes 2 and 3 contain correspondence, with general correspondence arranged chronologically and more specific correspondence arranged by the name of the main correspondent. These correspondents were R.W. Gerhardy and Hannes Gaenssabauer, chairmen, and Betty Stiller, Administrative Secretary. The remainder of Box 3 and much of Box 4 contain financial records. Boxes 4 and 5 contain reports on study projects, a procedures manual, and minutes of the Maintenance Committee. The records were collected by Duane A. Olson and Jack F. Reents, area secretaries of the Division for World Mission and Inter-Church Cooperation.

The American Lutheran Church (1961-1987) was formed by the merger of the American Lutheran Church (1930-1960), the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the United Evangelical Lutheran Church. Representatives from each of the constitutent churches formed the Joint Union Committee in 1950 to effect the merger. Presidents of the constituent bodies at the merger were Henry F.
